happy Eid!!!

Eid al-Adha, also called Feast of the Sacrifice, the Major Festival, the Greater Eid and Bakrid,is an important 4-day religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to honour the willingness of the prophet ʾIbrāhīm (Abraham) to sacrifice his young first-born son Ismā'īl (Ishmael) as an act of submission to God's command and his son's acceptance to being sacrificed, before God intervened to provide Abraham with a ram to sacrifice instead.(source:wikipedia)

TUESDAY, 23rd OCTOBER

although it is a four-day holiday as mentioned above, we were only given 3 days for our holiday vacation starting from  25th to 27th of October for the Big Eid. but for us (meaning family and friends), we started the celebration from Tuesday(24th)night. the start of a new group called the "ChiccoRitas" (chiccos and puritas combined). it all started out as a plan to eat at TRP with Nors but then turned out to be a first ever reunion of my friends who are very dear to me here in Abu Dhabi.

 on that same day is also the last day for the ikea designer contest that our manager "papi" joined, so here's an evident/proof that we joined the twitter brigade for papi since there was something fishy behind facebook. unlucky for him, he didn't win but he still is a winner for us.. yiiieee :)))

 reunions wouldn't be complete without the BAR and the BEER! so after eating we decided to move to cheers. thanks to our red lipsticks who saved us from being simple to fab (self-proclaimed) haha;)

WEDNESDAY, 24TH OCTOBER

the first day of the big eid finalley! the "biglaang" picnic day.. we just decided to have a picnic while we were all in the office bbm-ing. a no-alak-sobriety-reigned-for-the-first-time day for us also because after the picnic, all of us were dead tired albeit only ken and miggy did all of the job from the ihawan portion til the ligpitan portion.hehe all we (i mean the girls) did was eat, lie, smoke, goof around and talk while watching the other 2 boys in action. and although it was a sudden plan, everything went out well for all of us,without alcohol, we enjoyed ourselves though.

 we had pork and chicken bbq, hotdog with bacon, pritong talong, grilled tilapia and thanks to my dear king, SPAGHETTI yey for the main course!

so it's evident naman that we were just sitting around diba?haha

THURSDAY 25TH OCTOBER

king went with her family in dubai for an overnight stay with her ate and the rest of the family so we decided to compensate our sober wednesday for this day. we went out to kit's and we drank our souls out. norman and alvin from adidas and the germans joined us on the latter. it was fun with all the love-hate-boys-versus-girls debate as ken was enjoying his sleep at kit's bed, drunk, again.tsk tsk

 
FRIDAY, 26th OCTOBER

dubai day. before coming to dubai for a family reunion with the Gonzales', we (me, gaye and nors) ate at burger king before the so-called 'pakikipagsapalaran' sa bus station. lucky for us, we didn't have to line our way to the bus and instead, there was a few people on the line so we got in the bus faster than we ever expected. we went straight to ate gleng's, ate there and rested for a few hours then braved our hearts out in the metro going to jebel ali then to discovery gardens. it might be a hassle day for us, commuting and all but then, going through the sense of it all, it was all worth it seeing family, eating together, taking pictures together and laughing all together.

SATURDAY, 27TH OCTOBER

the last day of our long weekend. must be a rest day for us before going back to the work reality but then again, we went to the mall. pachill chill lang then we had to buy some groceries and then rested at king's, goofed and camwhored.

and bwallah!!! our eid finished, kalas! this was not the way i expected it to be, it would have been better if we had plans ahead of time, went to places we haven't been and seen before, be with people who we seldom see but it was quite a fun holiday for us, for me at least. well the most important thing is that i got to spend the holidays with my closest friends and with the fambam. toodles! till the next eid! belated happy eid al-Adha everyone! hope you enjoyed yours too :)))
